
WATERMELON MOON
A Sandhill Crane, who spends winters here in the Rio Grande Valley in Albuquerque, with the Sandia Mountains in the distance. Sandia is Spanish for watermelon due to the beautiful pink the mountain becomes at sundown. Painted and stitched silk, found feathers, and other fabrics. Hang away from direct sunlight or strong indoor lighting.
