IGUAZU: THE GREAT WATER
When I visited Iguazu Falls in 1996, the experience left me speechless. Here was a chance to describe it with more than mere words. This piece became a catalyst to loosen up with textural elements in my landscapes; I decided to just “go with the flow” and not even create a drawing first as I usually did. The spontaneous process was wonderful; the flow of my machine as I was freely stitching the threads and the eternal and massive flow of these falls came to life. Painted and stitched silk and other fabrics, organza, yarns. Ready to hang with a sleeve and wooden slat. Hang away from direct sunlight or bright interior lights.
